Vandalism Online Anonymous Reporting Tool - April 2020

With the closure of schools due to COVID-19, many districts have begun to see a rise of vandalism on their school properties. As a proactive measure, SIA has engaged the CatapultEMS Anonymous Reporting Solution to help prevent future vandalism occurrences.  SIA sponsors the use of Catapult as an anonymous reporting tool for members, consistent with SIA’s ESCAPE Program for prevention of Sexual Abuse and Molestation (SAM) to provide the ability to anonymously report educator/staff misconduct.

With this tool SIA member districts will be able to:

  • Receive vandalism reports from your local community (offered in English and Spanish)
  • Use WeTip integration to monitor incoming reports 24/7 for immediate action
  • Direct reports to your school or district administrators for follow up
  • Receive customized reports at the district regarding vandalism activity

Upon implementation, districts will receive a customized poster for each school site. The poster should be displayed on campuses in visible locations that will encourage your community members to anonymously report any suspicious activity on campus.

We know our members are facing a great number of challenges during this uncertain time. SIA seeks to support our member’s efforts to protect their school and district resources with efforts such as this and hope we can be of assistance.
